Ensure your child is speedily recalling phase 2, 3 and 5 phonemes to secure reading fluency. Children need to be able to recognise the sounds confidently before they can blend those sounds to read words. Ensuring your child can recognise the phase 2, 3 and 5 sounds confidently, is step 1 in my recommended reading strategy which you can find in the phonics guide.
